Directions: Each day this week you will write an in-class essay.  Each essay is worth a test grade.  Each persuasive essay must be 5 paragraphs and each expository essay must be 4 paragraphs  in length and follow the format for the introduction, body and conclusion paragraphs.

On Wednesday

1. Choose 1 essay from Monday or Tuesday

2. Have a classmate evaluate it for the requirements.

3.  Rewrite the essay for homework. Due Thursday! Make changes and PROOFREAD!

4.  This will count as a TEST grade.

On Friday

1. 1. Choose 1 essay from Wednesday or Thursday

2. Have a classmate evaluate it for the requirements.

3.  Rewrite the essay for homework. Due Monday! Make changes and PROOFREAD!

4.  This will count as a TEST grade.

Monday- Prompt 1 – Write a persuasive essay responding to the following prompt: Racial slurs should be illegal.

Tuesday – Prompt 2 – Write a persuasive essay responding to the following prompt: We can change the world.

Wednesday Prompt 3 – Write an expository essay informing the reader from the following prompt: Explain the meaning of diversity.

Thursday Prompt 4 – Write an expository essay informing the reader from the following prompt: “A coward dies a thousand times, a soldier dies but once.” ― Tupac Shakur
